We understand that this is a difficult time and the cost of a funeral can sometimes be a hardship or when a memorial service has to be delayed for family reasons.
Our Economy Direct Cremation is a direct no frills cremation service with non-attendance by family or friends.
After making arrangements with A Gentle Touch Funerals, we transfer your loved one into our care. After the necessary paperwork is completed, your loved one is transported to the crematorium.
Allow up to 4 days and the ashes can be collected from our funeral home.
Ashes are supplied in a basic plastic sealed ashes container to take home or transport.
Sometime people are unsure what to do with the ashes and may wish to look at the large range of Urns and Keepsakes available in our arrangement rooms or view on line.
Scatter tubes to elegant Urns are available.
Ashes can be placed in your choice of Urn before you take your loved one home.

Scattering of Ashes
Families may want to honour a wish for ashes to be scattered at a special location. It may be a public place and a favourite location – a beach, country park, or holiday destination. Providing care and consideration of others is taken into account scattering of ashes can be carried out in a dignified manner at your loved ones desired location.
Cremated remains are non-toxic, bio-degradable, and safe to flora and fauna. We can only recommend that approval from a controlling authority be obtained before scattering ashes in a private or public place. Some families prefer to bury or scatter the cremated remains of a loved one in their own garden, and for that no permission is necessary. Some golf clubs and football clubs will allow scattering, but permission must always be sought first.
If travelling overseas with ashes, please check prior with airlines and your destination regarding their relevant regulations or needs for permits.
