Planning a Burial Service
Choosing between a burial or cremation service may be difficult unless your loved one has left specific instructions. If a burial has been selected, there are many venues and cemeteries for your choice.
A dual service provides the opportunity for the participation of family and friends. If religious, the option would be in a church or chapel of choice, followed by a road cortege to the selected gravesite. Families may prefer a simpler alternative by holding a small graveside service only.
If a secular service is planned, any suitable venue can be used, with the burial to follow.
The City of Gold Coast administers eight cemeteries for daily burials, ashes interments, memorial plaques and general historical database records. These include the following lawn, lawn beam and monumental cemeteries:
Mudgeeraba, Southport Lawn, Southport General, Nerang, Coomera, Upper Coomera, Pimpama and Alberton.
The Allambe Memorial Park at Nerang, is a privately owned venue also offering burial sites.
Our team will gladly assist with any further burial enquiries.
